According to sources at KidsWB the next Pokémon season will be called: Pokémon Advanced Battle and will begin on Saturday, Sept 17, 2005 with 2 all new episodes.

放任されたポケモンピカチュウのワーム／Pokemon Pikachu Worm on the Loose

A new internet worm entitled "Pokemon" is slowly infiltrating system around the Internet through email. The Pokemon worm, named after the image of one of Nintendo's Pokemon cartoon characters, propagates through Microsoft Outlook's MAPI subsystem in a similar manner to the LoveLetter worm where the worm is spread via a file attachment. The worm does not affect users of Outlook Express. This worm is also known as: W32.Pokey.Worm, Pokemon, I-Worm.Pikachu, Pokey.bat, Pokey.



Notice The worm arrives in email with a message subject that has a subject that reads "Pikachu Pokemon". The attached file is an executable program entitled "pikachupokemon.exe" that contains an icon similar to Pikachu, a Pokemon character. Once the executable is run the worm displays an animated image of Pikachu (See above image.) and attempts to send email to all people listed in the user's address book. The worm also modifies the user's autoexec.bat file to delete the contents of the Windows and Windows\System directories.
Needless to say, we reccomend you do not open this email and just delete it if you recieve a copy.

At the time of this writing Symantec, Trend Micro, and Sophos had data files available to remove and protect against the Pokemon worm. Be sure to check with your anti-virus vendor of choice to obtain the most current data files. More details can be found on Symantec's Web Site.

Dr.ピカチュウ/Dr. Pikachu

Nintendo of America revealed today that it will be publishing the dual-pack Dr. Mario/Puzzle League for the Game Boy Advance in the US. The cartridge is scheduled for release on December 5th.

Dr. Mario and Pokémon Puzzle League will hit GBA this November in the US.

Dr. Mario/Pokémon Puzzle League are recreations of two of Nintendo's most popular puzzle creations. Though Dr. Mario has already been released on the GBA as a Classic NES Series title, the version included in the dual-pack will be enhanced specifically for the Game Boy Advance hardware instead of a straight emulation of the original NES title. Pokémon Puzzle League was originally brought to life as Tetris Attack, but then rebranded on the Game Boy Color as Pokemon Puzzle League a few years back. The GBA version will also be enhanced for the GBA's much more capable graphics hardware.

The dual pack will ship in Japan in the fall, 2005, and in Europe in time for Christmas, though the Japanese version will have the second game branded as its original name, "Puzzle de Pon," and the European version will have it listed as "Tetris Attack."

Well, Coro Coro has revealed 4 new games to come out between now and Diamond & Pearl's release. Unfortunately details and pictures are scarce at the moment so we really only have thier names and formats. Click them to go to their sections:

Remember all that buzz about a possible new Pokémon game being prepared to coincide with the Japanese debut of next year's Pokémon flick? Well according to IGN, it turns out that Nintendo wasn't just talking about one new Pokemon title, but three!

Both DS and GBA get new titles from Nintendo

First up is Pokémon Ranger: The Road to Diamond and Pearl for the DS. This newest title is an action RPG set in the world of the upcoming Pokémon Ranger movie. You play as a Pokémon Ranger. Different from a Pokémon Trainer, a Ranger travels the lands, using Pokémon in a fight to defend nature from baddies. Pokémon Ranger is set for Japanese release in 2006. Its release will precede that of Diamond and Pearl with the games all linking up together for some top secret bonuses.

Nintendo is also working on a new puzzle game for the DS featuring more than 380 of your favorite Pokémon. Titled Pokemon Torouze, the DS's dual screens are used to display a game board showing Pokémon face pieces. Using the touch pen, your goal is to line up four like pieces vertically or horizontally. The pieces then disappear. In addition to pure puzzle-based gameplay, Torouze will also include an adventure mode in which you lead main character Lucy Lightfoot on a big adventure to save her Pokémon friends from an evil organization.

The fun doesn't end there, though. Both DS and Game Boy Advance owners can look forward to a new type of Pokémon game with Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon, a game based off he long-running, Japan-only Mysterious Dungeon series of games. The DS will be getting Blue Rescue Force with the GBA getting Red Rescue Force. Aside from the name, and an expected simultaneous Winter release date for both versions, we know nothing about this surprise pair.

Pokemon Torouze will kick off this new batch of Pokemon fun with a Japanese release set for 10/20. There's no word yet from Nintendo of America on the release plans for any of these new titles. Check back here for the latest info..

Pokemon USA announced this week that Yves Saada has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development, where he will primarily focus on heading-up digital media initiatives for the company.

Yves Saada Becomes VP at Pokemon USA

Saada joins Pokemon USA from online animated movie company BrainPOP, where he served as COO. Prior to BrainPOP, he co-founded the children's "lifestyle brand" Kibu. Earlier in his career Saada worked for such companies as Mattel, Printpaks, and Microsoft France.

EX Unseen Forces Prerelease Tournaments provide players the opportunity to preview and play with unreleased cards from the upcoming EX Unseen Forces expansion.

The Pok�mon TCG Prerelease Tournaments are held in the weeks leading up to the 2005 Pok�mon TCG World Championships, when the EX Unseen Forces expansion will be officially released. Players are divided into three age categories; 10 and younger, 11 to 14, and 15 and older. Plot Summary: In the town of Lohta, a festival is thrown praising "Rukario the Wave Guiding Hero" who, according to the legend passed down through the town's generations, stopped a war centuries ago by using the power of "the Tree of the World's Origin." Ash and Pikachu participate in a battle to decide this year's hero and after their victory, they are chosen as the "Wave Guiding Hero." A grand dance party is held in the castle to celebrate the victor, but suddenly the phantom Pokemon Mew appears and takes Pikachu. Soon afterwards, the Wave Guiding Pokémon "Rukario" is freed from his centuries-long seal and meets Ash. Asg must solve the various mysteries of where Pikachu is, what Mew's after, what the secret of the legend of the Wave Guider is and how it ties in with Rukario's hidden past as he makes his way to "the Tree of the World's Origin" with Rukario.

2005-05-24 - It was announced in Japan Puffy AmiYumi will provide the theme song, Hajimari no Uta (Song of Origin), for the 8th Pokemon movie, Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero-Rukario.The movie will be released in Japan on July 16th, and the CD single will go on sale July 13th.
