Our fiends over at PPN are reporting final box office figures for the latest Pokemon movie in Japan; Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero: Lucario. It appears that movie 8 has earned some 4.1 billion yen through Sept 25, 2005.

Since premiering on July 16, the eighth Pokémon movie, Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero: Lucario, has officially made 4.11 billion yen (approx. US $36 million) in box office sales. This number was tallied from box office receipts from the premiere to Sept. 25. Approximately 3,930,000 viewers saw the movie during its run.

Still no word when this awesome movie is coming to the US, but we suspect somtime early to mid 2006.
